30 Healthy Foods for Kids Under 10

I’m always trying to keep my meals and snacks gourmet while still being healthy. This can be challenging with my 3-year-old whose idea of gourmet is homemade pancakes, Thousand Hills Beef Hot Dogs, Back to Nature’s Stoneground Crackers or Annie’s Organic Mac n Cheese. He would eat them everyday if I’d let him. Don’t get me wrong, these are great food items but all the time?  I am so proned to them that I even get stuck in a rut making them. I need to be reminded about other alternatives. Here is list of 30 easy, healthy snack/lunch ideas with little to no refined sugars for kiddos under 10.

    1. Organic Apple with Woodstock Peanut Butter
    2. Helios Nutrition Organic Nonfat Kefir. Available in the dairy cooler in select varieties.
    3. Organic Banana Chips
    4. Organic Coconut Dates. These naturally sweet treat is adored by kids and adults alike. Available in the refridgerated bulk section.
    5. Organic Grapes
    6. Chippawa Valley Cheese Curds
    7. Mexed-Up MacNCheese. Annie’s Mac N Cheese with added Organic Corn, Organic Black Beans and Organic Valley Sour Cream
    8. Organic Blue-Green Smoothie
    9. Granola Yogurt. So Delicious Coconut Yogurt with Homemade Granola (see recipe)
    10. Organic Gucamole with Whole Grain Milling Co. Tortilla Chips
    11. Go Raw – 100% Organic Super Cookies, varieties vary

    21. Stuffed Black Olives with Organic Cheese. Obviously not for every kid.
    22. Dried Apples. Simple I know but easily forgotten.

    29. Pull-It-Together Black Beans. Organic black beans (cost efficient way to buy black beans), Organic Valley Sour Cream and Mexican Blend Shredded Cheese, organic diced tomatoes and diced olives (optional).
