Deficiency, Imbalance, Where Are You At?
When was the last time you were able to wake up in the morning energized and refreshed without the use of coffee or other stimulants? What would it be like to feel good all the time? Can you imagine looking your best every day? The body is designed to do these things. The 2 key terms we have to remember are deficiency and imbalance.
Deficiency comes largely from replacing whole foods and good choices with processed bad ones. Deficiency also is the result of the body’s inability to actually digest the nutrients even if you are ingesting them.
Imbalance comes from deficiency – too much of one type of nutrient without enough of another to balance it. But imbalance also comes from modern methods of food production. For example, the importance in supplementing with an essential fatty acid, such as omega-3, is not just digesting enough of it but getting the right balance of omega-3s to omega-6s.
