Apple “Cookies”

I have always been a fan of apples with nut butter.  But it sounds so boring when you say it that way. Apple cookies sound a little more enticing, especially to children.  This recipe for apple “cookies” I am sharing with you today is simple, easy to make and the children can help!  You choose your nut butter (sweeten if desired or leave as is if you want it more salty to go with the sweet apple), spread it over round apple slices then top off with fun “sprinkles”. The children can choose their own toppings, and this isn’t just for kids, adults will love these too.  Sprinkle them with heart healthy hemp seeds and chia seeds, or be sweet and playful and use chocolate chips!  It is all up to the one creating their own delicious masterpiece!
