Easy Vegan BBQ Beans

If you are looking for a quick and easy side dish for Father’s Day to go along with your main dish, or whatever you happen to be grilling, these BBQ beans are a great option!  They are fairly healthy, packed with fiber and protein but they taste delicious!  Not only that, they are really easy to make, come together in about 15 minutes and you can even make them ahead of time if you need to for a picnic!  They also happen to be gluten free, dairy free, and vegan!

  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium pot over medium heat, then add the onions, garlic, and jalapeno, and sautee until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the beans and BBQ sauce, and cook until warmed through over lower heat, about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour into a serving dish, sprinkle with green onions, and serve!
