German Chocolate Chia Pudding

In the summer it is always nice to have desserts that don’t heat up the house to make.  Ice cream is good, but if you want to go a bit healthier route, chia pudding is a great option!  It has a texture similar to tapioca pudding, but doesn’t require any cooking and the chia seeds give you a good nutritional bang for your buck!  This one has all of the flavors of German chocolate cake, but it is much better for you. Also, it is delicious and easy to make!

  1. Whisk together the chia seeds, milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and salt in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Let sit at least 30 minutes at least or cover and refrigerate overnight.
  3. When ready to serve, top with walnuts, coconut and chia seeds!
