Honey Crisp Apple Chips

There is nothing like Honey crisp apples in the fall!  They are so delicious and the perfect balance of tart and sweet.  I love snacking on them raw, but did you know you can dry them in a dehydrator and make delicious cinnamon apple chips that are great for packing and snacking?  They are wonderful for kids lunches or hiking trips because they do not need a refrigerator.  They pack lots of fiber and are naturally sweet without adding sugar.  They are super simple to make, only a few ingredients and you are on your way to healthy snacking!

Spread the apple slices out on a dehydrator tray and sprinkle with cinnamon and sea salt. Place the tray in the dehydrator and dehydrate at 115F degrees for 24 hours until they are crispy. Store in a sealed container or bag (when kept in the refrigerator they last months).
