8 Days of Recipes. Day 7: Merry Cherry Mocktail

Around the holidays when entertaining guests, drinks are a big part of the celebration.  Although there is plenty of eggnog, wine, and alcoholic beverages available, it can be nice to have a few mocktails available for those who do not drink.  I recently made a festive mocktail for a friend which would be perfect to serve party guests!  I call it the Merry Cherry Mocktail.

It is as festive looking as a boozy cocktail, but it is more calorie sane and will not leave you with a hangover.  Also, it is refined sugar free for those who are watching their sugar intake. I used Cheribundi Tart Cherry Juice, which is full of anti-oxidants which we all need.  Then I added fresh squeezed orange juice, and a bit of vanilla topped off with sparkling water.  Not only will your non-alcoholic friends enjoy it, but it is child friendly too!

In a large glass, stir together cherry juice, orange juice, and vanilla extract. Pour into 2 martini glasses, then top off with sparking water and garnish with orange zest.
