Raspberry Lime Margarita
When most people think of making margaritas, they think of buying a mix. But it is so easy to make one yourself and add your own flavors! When you use fresh, local organic fruit purees in your drinks, they taste so much better and you control the amount of sugar that goes in. My favorite combination for a margarita is raspberry lime. With fresh organic raspberry puree, lime juice and orange juice. I don’t add any sugar, but if you felt that it needed a little sweetener, you could add a bit of agave nectar or honey along with the fruit.

To garnish rim, place some salt on a plate, then rub lime juice around half your glass rim. Dip your glass into the salt where the lime has been so it sticks. Set aside in the freezer while you make the drink. To make drink, in a martini shaker add the ice, tequila, berries, lime juice, orange juice, and place top on shaker. Shake until well blended. Pour the drink through a strainer into the prepared glass (with some ice in it if you prefer your drink on the rocks), and serve!
