Summer Stone Fruit Salad
In the late summer, stone fruits are at their most flavorful. Peaches, pluots, and apricots are at their peak, and they make the perfect summer dessert or salad. It’s nice to have a fast throw together salad to serve at a picnic that is healthy and delicious; and stone fruits are the perfect option in late August. When they are ripe, they do not need much adornment for their flavor to shine. A simple dressing of honey and lime or lemon will do along with an herb such as basil or mint and some sort of nut for crunch and texture. Here I added strawberries along with the stone fruit for color, but you could add cherries in their place if they are available.
