Sweet and Spicy Nuts

My Grandma always put out a bowl of nuts during the Holidays to snack on when company came over.  I still like the idea, but instead of buying mixed nuts, which can come with a lot of refined sugar or preservatives, I like to make my own so I know what goes into them.  My favorite is a sweet and spicy mix that is super easy to make.  They are so good warm out of the oven, and if you make these your guests will definitely be happy.  You can make them in advance also, as they keep well. These are also a good source of protein!

In a bowl, combine all ingredients, and toss until the nuts are evenly coated. Spread out on a foil or parchment lined sheet pan, and place in a 375F degree oven. Roast the nuts for about 10-15 minutes until they are golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.
