Winter Greens Shake

If you ever feel like you have been eating too much rich food or your tummy needs a little TLC this greens shake is for you.  It is what I whip up when I feel like I have over indulged a bit, my tummy is a bit sore, or I am just in need of energy.  It is simple to make, and yet it is so tasty and supplies your body with nutrients quickly.  I use a whole bunch of kale, which may seem like a lot, but you won’t taste it.  This is good for people who would like to get their greens but not have to chew a whole plate of salad.  The ginger calms the tummy, the turmeric is anti-inflammatory, and the cinnamon suppresses the appetite.  The lemon juice is cleansing and the apple and orange add a bit of sweetness.  When I make this for myself, I do not add any sweetener, but if you like you can sweeten to taste with stevia or your favorite healthful sweetener.
